    Day 1 Arrive Cochin

    Upon arrival at Cochin airport, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi, walk around Fort Kochi & Mattancherri, visit the Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town, and finally the Dutch Palace with its beautiful mural paintings from the 17th century. Visit ‘The St. Francis Church’ the oldest European Church in India and finally the famous Chinese Fishing Nets of Cochin. The huge cantilevered Chinese fishing nets that drop towards the waters like over-sized hammocks, have become a hallmark that represents Fort Kochi on every postcard.     After breakfast, Proceed to Munnar – “Nature lovers paradise” drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar, a popular getaway retreat. Surrounded by lush green tea estates, this picturesque hill station boasts of exotic flora and fauna. Proceed to hotel, Check-in. Evening enjoy Tea Plantation walk. Overnight stay at hotel.

    After breakfast, visit Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Popular for its natural echo phenomenon, one can always see the area full of eager visitors throughout the year. Continue visit at Tea Museum, one can observe the history and growth of tea estates in the area. We get to watch the transition from the rudimentary tea roller to the modern fully automated tea factory. Various stages of tea processing can be seen, which includes the making of black tea. On the way back visit at Srishti. This project is a venture of Tata Global Beverages for the rehabilitation of the differently abled. Enjoy some shopping time in this community centre.     After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady, Check-in your hotel. Afternoon enjoy a boat ride at Periyar tiger reserve, visitors stand a better chance of viewing wildlife as the animals come to the lake frequently for drinking water. You may be able to spot herds of Gaur, Sambar and wild boars in the grasslands adjacent to the shores. A variety of avian fauna such as darters, egrets and kingfishers can be seen resting on dead tree trunks that stick out over the lake. Afternoon at Leisure, enjoy the in-house hotel activities. Evening experience a spice plantation tour, there are many factors that make the plantation experience a memorable one, it could be the unassuming beauty of the tiny flowers of the cardamom that grow at the base of the plant, the tantalising aroma of cinnamon or cloves, and the cool breeze that lovingly strokes the green plantations.     Early morning proceed for a nature walk and observe the flora and fauna in the remote areas of the National Periyar Park accompanied by a trained tribal guide. It is a trekking program offering excellent opportunity for watching birds, butterflies and other wildlife through a range of habitats during the 4-5 km 2.5-hours walk. Back to hotel. Day at leisure, Optional visit to Kumily Market. Overnight stay at hotel.

    Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and proceed to Alleppey, board your private Houseboat for an enchanting cruise through the Backwaters. These boats are a reworked version of kettuvallams of olden times -once used to carry tons of rice and spices, converted into comfortable floating accommodation. Cruise through the palm fringed canals enjoying the beauty of rural village life. A sumptuous Keralan Meal is served on board. The trip continues through a wonderful area of the lush green vegetation of Kerala backwaters. Tea and Local snacks are served. Overnight stay on board.

    After breakfast transfer to Kochi airport to board the flight for onward destination.
